Asatsu-DK Inc., hereafter referred to as "ADK," (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo;
Representative Director, President and CEO: Koichiro Naganuma) announced that
on December 21, it acquired the international BS 7799-2:2002 certification and
the Japanese ISMS Conformity Assessment Scheme (Version 2.0) certification for
information security management. The two certifications cover six operations
within ADKês head office.
As a company that centers its operations on the use of information, ADK
regards such information as a vital business resource. To date, ADK has
constantly sought to enhance its information management systems. This
has ensured better management of various confidential data, including
information from advertisers about new product development and a broad
range of personal information.
ADK now has six of its operations registered as certified by two third-party
organizations-the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and the Japan Information
Processing Development Corporation (JIPDEC). In the future, ADK plans to obtain
accreditation for its entire head office and branch offices.
